Travis Lamar Carter embarked on his journey to stardom at the age of 14, using the tragic death of this mother and the harsh realities of the ghetto as his motivating force. Six months after forming a singing group with his brothers, he found himself auditioning for EastWest recording artist, Gerald LeVert, in a park, singing and dancing in the rain. As a result, Travis and his group were employed as choreographers and back-up dancers for the R&B group, LeVert. By sneaking backstage at concerts, Travis managed to audition for and perform on stage with several prime time recording artists such as New Kids on The Block, Mark Wahlberg (Marky Mark), and was soon found by world renown pop music producers Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken. Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken produced Travis group’s first demo as well as employing them as choreographers and back-up dancers for Rhythm Syndicates’ national promo tour for their MCA released album. Hence, Travis is no stranger to the stage and the lime light. While he has a passion for the musical arts, he also is a natural in acting, and possesses a great look for modeling. Travis has taken acting lessons privately for two years at the Akron, Ohio, West Side Vocal Academy, as well as in a group setting at the Canton's Players Guild. While at the Players Guild, he served as cast in a principle role-playing three different characters in the rendition of Julius Caesar. That was his first public acting appearance and the Canton Repository's entertainment critic reviewed him as giving a "Memorable Performance". In addition, Travis was recently cast as an extra in Will Smith's MEN in BLACK II music video. Thus, Travis has great potential and he can only ascend in his career. He is a very amiable person and currently available to lend his talents to your company!
